KULI helps people across the Maldives find and list rental properties. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we keep it secure.

Information we collect

• Account information — When you create an account, we collect information such as your name and email address.
• Listing information — If you list a property, we collect the information you provide, including property details, pricing, deposits, photos, and contact information.
• Verification information — If you choose to verify your account, we'll collect the documents needed to complete the verification process.
• Usage information — We collect information about how KULI is used, to keep the platform working and to improve it. This includes:
  • your device type,
  • browser information,
  • operating system,
  • IP address,
  • pages visited,
  • approximate location derived from your IP address,
  • dates and times of access,
  • referral information,
  • diagnostic and crash data.
  We do not use this information to build advertising profiles, and we never attempt to pinpoint your precise location. If you delete your account, this information is deleted along with it.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• operate KULI,
• review listings before they're published,
• process verification requests,
• help renters and landlords connect,
• detect misuse and protect the platform,
• improve our services.

We do not sell your personal information.

Keeping your information secure

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us. Data is transmitted over secure connections and stored using appropriate security measures.

Verification documents

Verification is optional.

If you choose to verify your account, we'll only use your documents to complete the verification process. They are never displayed publicly.

Sharing information

KULI only shares information that's necessary for renters and landlords to connect through a listing or where required by law.

We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising or marketing purposes.

KULI uses local storage and similar technologies to improve your experience, such as remembering saved listings and preferences.

Your choices

You can request access to your personal information, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or request deletion of your account.

KULI is intended for people aged 18 and over. If we become aware that personal information has been collected from someone under 18, we'll take reasonable steps to remove it.
